The history of the European Attestation Standard (EAS™) is a journey of profound reimagining of classical certification.

The European Attestation Standard (EAS™) is the result of over two decades of international experience in quality management and systemic consulting for European institutions.

The foundation of this architecture was built on a solid banking background, as well as the long-standing management experience of the founder, Dr. Mariia Bohach, in higher education and public administration. Working in the academic environment as Deputy Dean for Research, she oversaw the quality standards of the faculty's scientific activities and was directly involved in preparing for state accreditation and building multi-level reporting systems.

The scaling of this expertise occurred during a long tenure in leadership positions within the public sector. As the Head of the Control Department of the Regional State Administration, Dr. Mariia Bohach oversaw highly complex administrative processes on behalf of the government. She was officially authorized to develop and implement the Quality Management System (QMS) across the entire vertical of the executive branch. Eight years of continuous macro-management at the highest level tempered this methodology. For her outstanding professionalism and significant personal contribution to state-building, she was honored with a personal Commendation from the President of Ukraine, as well as regional awards.

The accumulated management experience in higher education and the public sector, coupled with a strong audit background gained during years of practice in Eastern and Western Europe, provided a unique expert synergy.

This multidimensional process evaluation and deep understanding of international quality standards became that very monolithic foundation upon which the global innovative structure of EAS™ successfully operates today.

2005-2010

This period was marked by the expansion of innovative management solutions beyond the national level and the active integration of Ukrainian expertise into the European quality space. Working in government authorities, Dr. Bohach not only managed internal processes but also acted as an official spokesperson for reforms in the international arena.

  • State Pilot Projects: Development and successful implementation of innovative national-level initiatives within the executive branch: "Electronic Document Management in the Control System," "Friendly Administration," "Control Day," as well as the comprehensive "Implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS)" (2006–2008).

  • International Qualification and QMS Expertise: Mastering leading European quality management models directly from recognized global experts, including intensive courses with Prof. Tito Conti (Italy, 2005) and certification training with Dr. Helena Krepelkova from TÜV SÜD (Czech Republic, 2007).

  • European Expertise and the EFQM Model: Participation in an international seminar by the European Commission under the TAIEX program. Practical adaptation of European assessment tools (EFQM Business Excellence Model) and a systemic transition from formal administrative control to results-oriented management (PDCA cycle). This became the fundamental basis for the development and large-scale deployment of ISO 9001 in the region's public sector (2007).

  • Official Interstate Representation: Delegation as the official representative of the Ukrainian side during a governmental exchange of experience with the leadership of the Lubusz Voivodeship; presentation of the QMS methodology in the public administration sector (Poland, 2009).

  • Industrial and Educational Expertise: Participation as an invited international speaker at NORBO KraftTeknik AB for industry and university representatives, as well as conducting the first independent expert evaluations of European businesses (Sweden, 2010).

Public Service and International Integration

2011-2018

Relocating to Germany in 2011 marked the entry into the European private sector. The unique combination of macro-administrative experience and German audit precision allowed for a reimagining of classical approaches. Work on methodological development continued without interruption: standard inspection processes began to transform into customer-oriented, flexible formats, laying a solid foundation for the future EAS™ system.

  • Hybrid Audit and Process Optimization: Comprehensive audit of a historical hotel complex. The first successful combination of intensive 24-hour On-Site analysis with long-term Remote-Consulting (Italy, 2013).

  • Prototype of the Digital Audit (X²): Full legal and operational compliance support for the legalization of a private practice. The entire process of aligning with standards was built and executed exclusively through digital channels (Austria, 2014).

  • Total Project Management and Crisis Management (On-Site): Strategic planning, engineering design, crisis management, and the successful launch of a private medical practice from scratch, in compliance with the strictest regulations of the German healthcare system (Germany, 2016).

Independent International Expertise: The Architecture of New Formats

The COVID-19 pandemic and the rapid boom in digital services created an acute need for ethical standards in formal and non-formal education, as well as in the personal services sector. This period of challenges became a catalyst for an innovative approach to certification and the organization's transition to a new level.

  • Expansion of Competencies and Integration of Expertise: EAS™ emerged as a result of scaling the private Quality Management Systems (QMS) consulting practice of Dr. Mariia Bohach and bringing in the extensive professional experience of Uwe Pirsch — a certified physiotherapist (Dipl.-Phys. FH), naturopath (Heilpraktiker), and expert in integrative and complementary medicine. In his capacity as Chief Advisor and independent leading expert, he consults on the evaluation of specific requirements in sensitive health sectors (physiotherapy, acupuncture, caregiving, Ayurveda, hypnosis, homeopathy, kinesiology, and other "human-to-human" fields) (2019).

  • Official Institutionalization of the Brand: The organization was officially registered as the "European Attestation Standard" with a protected trademark, approved logo, and a full package of constituent documents (2019).
